In any chemical industries floors,drains,storage & reaction vessels etc. require suitable lining to prevent corrosion.normally a memebrane is considered for protection. membrane is bonded to the sub-base and being such in coposition , which will resitant to certain chemicals and will provide an impermable barrier.
In some cases this membrane is all that is required, but in many intances, where highly corrosion chemicals are in use and/or operative temprature is high and mechanical abuse occure , an additional lining of chemical resisting brick/tile should be installed.
Obviously , it is of no value to provide the brick/tile lining witthout bedding & jointing of material itself , which is not resistant to chemicals.
