Furan Mortar is a two-part chemical setting Furan base mortar used for bonding acid resistant bricks and tiles. It is impermeable in texture and resistant to a very wide range of chemicals, including strong acids alkalis, oils, solvents and unaffected by temperature up to 170 C. Furan mortar "C" a 100 % carbon filled mortar is available where resistant to Hydrofluoric acid, fluoride salts and strong hot alkalis are required.

Application:

Ensure that bricks or tiles are clean, dry and stored at ambient temperature. Butter the bricks or tiles with mixed mortar ensuring uniform coverage, with a slight more in the center so no air pockets are formed while its installation. When using as only jointing mortar, it is essential that MIPRO-FA is filled to the full depth of the joint. During and after completion of the application, the area must be kept dry and free from any other materials, which can affect setting and curing of Furan mortar.

Chemical Resistance Furan Mortar:

Is recommended to use against very wide range of acids, alkalis, solvents, salts, oils and fats. However Furan Mortar is not recommended to use against HF, fluoride salts, and strong hot alkalis. For these conditions, Furan Mortar "C" 100 % carbon filled mortar is available. Also it is not recommended against strong oxidizing acids like chromic acid, Nitric acid and other oxidizing agents.

Storage & Shelf Life:

Always keep solution & powder in cool dry place in sealed container and bag, away from direct sun light, moisture etc. If stored as above, shelf life of solution 1 year powder: 3-4 months

Packing Solution:

25 kgs and 250 kgs sound quality MS drums. Powder is 50 kgs in LDPE HDPE bags.

Epoxy Mortar is a three parts chemical setting epoxy resin base mortar. It exhibits excellent adhesion to acid resistant bricks/tile, concrete, MS surface. Epoxy Mortar is resistant to very wide range of chemicals.

Application:

After proper mixing, mortar should be buttered on back and sides of bricks/tiles to be laid. Apply little
more mortar and after lying squeeze the excess mortar. If only joints filling are done, be sure that full depth of joints is filled with mortar. There should not any air pocket in the joints. During & after completion of the installation, area must be kept dry and free from any other materials.

Chemical Resistance:

Epoxy Mortar is highly resistant to acids, alkalis, salts, solvents, greases, detergents etc. However it is not
recommended against strong mineral and oxidizing acids.

Storage & Shelf Life:

Always keep resin, hardener and powder in cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. If stored in sealed containers and bag shelf life of Resin, Harder & Powder will be one year.

High Chemical Resistant Hybrid Epoxy Mortar is a versatile three (3)-component chemical resistant hybrid resin base mortar. The product exhibits excellent bond strength, high chemical resistance and reliable curing characteristics.

Area Of Use:

High chemical resistant hybrid epoxy mortar can be used in construction of acid resistant screed & brick/tile linings to floors, drains, sumps, tank farm areas, tanks & process vessels, waste water treatment plants etc. and jointing mortar for red Mandana stone flooring. It is the most suitable for use in installation of acid resistant brick/tile lined areas, which are very often subjected to concentrated acids and alkaline conditions.

Features:

Mixing:


  • Pour measured quantity (100 parts by wt.) of part A into clean, dry mixing container.
  • Add measured quantity of part B (50 part by wt.) and mix thoroughly for one minute.
  • Add measured quantity of part C filler (600 parts by wt.) a little at a time, mix slowly until the filler is thoroughly wetted by the resin (Part A) & Hardener (Part B) mix, to produce a homogenous trowel able mortar.
  • Mortar, which has begun to set, cannot be recovered by adding more resin. Such mortar must be discarded.
  • Never add water and any other diluents.

Vinyl Ester Mortar

Vinyl Ester Mortar is used in the construction of floors, sumps, trenches, tanks, vessels and bleach towers in chemical processing, food and beverage plants, dairies, laboratories, textile, steel and pulp & paper mills. Vinyl Ester Mortar has excellent resistance to oxidizing bleach solutions, mineral and organic acids, alkaline solutions and some organic solvents. When used with chemical resistant masonry units and the proper membrane MIPRO-VE will protect concrete and steel sub base from chemical attacks and physical abuse. Vinyl Ester Mortar is silica filled vinyl ester mortar supplied in two parts - powder & liquid - which must be mixed together in the proper proportions (1:5.5 PBW) prior to use.

 

Charecteristics:


Resistant to strong oxidizing agents, acids, alkalis and bleaches and solvents. Low absorption and shrinkage. High bond, tensile and compressive strengths.Rapidly develops physical properties... initial set time is one hour at room temperature.

 

Surface Separation:


All surfaces in contact with vinyl ester mortar should be clean, and free of dust, dirt, grease, oil, and other contaminants. Surface prep should be in accordance with membrane requirements.

 

Mixing

 

Empty correct proportion of liquid into a clean mixing vessel. Gradually add measured amount of powder while mixing continuously with a trowel, By hand or mechanical mixer until mortar is uniformly blended to a workable consistency. After mixing, spread mortar in a thin layer in a mortar pan to ensure maximum working time of 25 minutes at 35 * C. Recommended mix ratio by weight, is Part A (Resin) 1 PBW to Part B (Filler) 5.5 PBW Material, which has begun to set, cannot be retempered and must be discarded. Never add liquid or other materials to mixed material or any component part.

 

Installation:


Trowel an average 1/8" thick bed joint of vinyl ester mortar directly on top of membrane or preceding course of brickwork. Apply the mortar by buttering on side and one head join of each masonry unit.Set the masonry units in place and position by tapping to form an average 1/8" wide vertical joint.


Self Life:


Vinyl ester mortar has self-life of 3 months and liquid has self-life of one (1) months, when stored in unopened, tightly sealed container/bags in cool, dry place at 350C.

Method of Application:

All mixing tools and pan must be clean, dry. Take appropriate quantity of resin and hardener and mix it thoroughly with suitable means, until you get homogeneous mix. Then add powder slowly in it and start mixing slowly to avoid air trapping. The ratio can vary depending upon ambient temperature and working conditions.

 

Application:

After proper mixing of mortar should be buttered on back and sides of bricks/tiles to be laid. Apply little more mortar and after laying squeeze the excess mortar. If only a joint filling is to be done with polyester mortar, be sure that full depth of joints is filled with mortar. There should not be any air pocket in the joints. Chemical Resistance:

 

Polyester mortar is highly resistant to acids, salts, solvent oil and grease. Performance of polyester mortar in the presence of oxidizing chemicals makes it ideal for bedding & jointing material for use in the presence of chlorine and bleaching solutions, nitric and chromic acids. It is used widely in paper & pulp industries and electroplating plants.

 

Storage & Shelf Life:


Always keep resin, catalysts and powder in cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. If stored in sealed containers and bags; shelf life of Resin, Harder & Powder will be one year.

Silicate Mortar is Silicate type, two- part chemical setting mortar. It is recommended against permanently acidic condition, and can withstand much higher temperature compared to other resin type & sulphur type mortar.


Area Of Application:


Silicate mortar is principally used with acid resisting bricks and tiles for acid resisting masonry construction, because of its very low cost. It is highly recommended to protect chimneys, incinerators and other high temperature equipment. Excellent resistant to 98% Sulfuric acid, conc. nitric acid. Highly recommended for use in sulfuric acid manufacturing plant lining.

Application :


Silicate mortar is buttered on acid resistance brick/tile as usual bricklayers Method. Brick/tile also should be clean, dry and at ambient temperature. After hardening of the joints, it should be treated with 10 % Hydrochloric acid before the acid resisting lining is place in use. During & after completion of lining, area must be kept dry and free from any other materials and traffic, which can affect setting & curing of Silicate mortar.


Chemical Resistance:


Silicate mortar when completely set hard, resistant to high concentration of oxidizing acids like 98% sulfuric acid, conc. nitric acid chromic acid etc., inorganic acids and salts and most organic solvents at high temperature. It is not recommended against Hydrofluoric acid, fluorides, fluoride salts, water, diluted solutions, alkalis etc.


Mixing:


Silicate mortar is prepared by mixing solution & powder to form workable mortar. The recommended ratio of mixing is 1 part solution to 3 parts powder by wt. This ratio will vary depending upon ambient temperature and working conditions. Use clean dry mixing pan. Place appropriate quantity of solution in mixing Pan, and add powder slowly and start mixing thoroughly, until you get smooth paste like mortar. Do not mix more material, then, can be used within 30 minutes.


Storage & Shelf Life:


Always keep solution and powder in cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight, moisture etc. If stored in sealed container as above, shelf life of solution: 12 Months Powder: 12 Months

Method Of Application:


Break the MICRO -S bricks into very small pieces and place in clean, dry heating pan. Start melting it with slow heating and stir it while heating until you get free flowing smooth liquid. Then pour between the joints of acid resistance bricks/tiles. Avoid air pocketing while filling the joints.

 

Chemical Resistance:

Against non-oxidizing acids, diluted oxidizing acids and acidic and neutral salts at recommended temperature. It is not recommended for use against alkalis, Hydrofluoric acid, fluoride salts etc. For this, 100 % carbon filled MIPRO-S"C" is available.

 

Storage & Shelf Life:


Always keep sulphur mortar away from direct heat and in dry place. It can be stored like this, for unlimited period.

 

Packing:


Sulphur Mortar is supplied in 40 kgs (NET) bags.

It is advisable to wear protective wears at the time of use of Sulphur mortar and any other Sulphur mortar brand products. Provide adequate ventilation while melting. Handle with care when hot.
